J/S "North-Western Shipping Company" (NWSC) is one of the biggest transport companies in Russia.
The company as a holding structure consists of the shipping company "North-Western fleet", the ports, shipbuilding-shiprepairing yards.
The company has 500 units of self-propelled motorships. Among them there are 88 passenger vessels with total capacity of 12700 passengers, 250 "river-sea" going vessels, including 130 for foreign transportation.
The fleet of NWSC deliver cargo by the united deep waterway system of Russia, in coastal waters of the Baltic, the Northern, Black and Mediterranean seas.
Cargo ships of the company annually make more than 3500 calls to 320 foreign ports, carrying cargoes "from door to door", without transhipment to other kinds of transport.
